Soul Beats Time

I look back at the pieces I painted in 2021 — and I realize it was never about how long I’d been painting.
It was about how deep I dared to go.

One of those paintings sold before it was finished. Another was a commission that didn’t meet the brief — but ended up unlocking something in me I didn’t know I was ready for.
They were both born from friction, not flow.
From frustration, not perfection.
And somehow, that’s what made them alive.

I used to think time would make me worthy.
But soul moves faster than years.
When I choose truth, I collapse time.

Now I know:
It’s not about how many paintings you’ve made.
It’s about how honest you are when no one’s watching.
How bold you are when someone is.
How deeply you let life pass through you — and how bravely you let the canvas hold it.

This is not a career move.
This is a soul call.
And I’m answering.

With love,

Serap
