Serap Kocacenk | About the Artist

Serap Kocacenk is a Swedish-Turkish contemporary artist working between Malmö and Istanbul. Her works are held in private and institutional collections in Sweden, Germany, Australia, and the United States.

Known for her emotionally charged abstractions and distinct visual language, Kocacenk creates paintings that act as portals — vivid, gestural compositions that engage both body and spirit. Each piece is crafted with intentionality and is placed with care, often acquired by collectors who resonate with the work’s psychological depth and energetic presence.

In 2024, her painting *A Cry for Help* was selected for the cover of the book *Kampen för livet* by Dag Ekner. The same year, she opened her private studio in Malmö to the public during Open Studio Day, offering direct access to her process and original works. Her pieces have also been placed in public healing spaces within the Swedish healthcare system.

With a growing international presence and a collector base aligned with both fine art and emotional truth, Kocacenk is positioning herself as a sovereign force in the contemporary art world.
